On the First Day of Christmas...
"Christmas morning" in Denver (Christmas Eve Eve to the rest of the world). Mark and I set the alarms to wake up early, get coffee, turn on lights, bake the monkey bread, and make sure everything is ready to go before the kids wake up. I love that time...
Priceless moment. Peytee-pey finds her dream chair under the tree, the one she throws a fit about every time we leave PB kids... oh the books she can read in this thing.
This little man loves to be busy outside... this is for leaves, snow, dirt, helping daddy.
One of the best parts of Christmas this year is was watching Owen fall in love with it. He seriously loves every little detail about this holiday... the "uniforms" (aka ornaments) for the tree, the nativity scene and leaving "presents" for baby Jesus, christmas lights, the Christmas specials, picking out gifts, wrapping them, making cookies for Santa, handing out the gifts on Christmas morning, watching everyone open them.... His enthusiasm was contagious. His love for holiday traditions reminds me of my dad. This year he wanted to buy Mark a football for Christmas. He picked it out, he wrapped it, and then proceeded to tell Mark about it almost every other day... we will teach him about surprises next year. Precious.
Lazy morning playing with our toys and staying in our jammies... LOVED this day.
Books, books, books.
Walking to our local spot for brunch... amazing day. Im dreaming of a White Christmas.
