Arrival Pending...

I made it to my last baby shower!! Only two weeks to go. Carol (my mother in law) and Jackie Turek, with the help of Lindsay and my lil sis, threw me a gorgeous baby shower this past weekend. It was so much fun to be with all of my friends from high school and the family friends I grew up with. Carol's friends and family came to the shower too...Aunt En came all the way from Florida! When the guests arrived each person brought a favorite book for the baby, now I have a basket full of books to read to him. I cant wait! Karla came to the shower from Houston, notice her baby bump. She is due in July... Her baby makes 5 in the Saukkola family.

Here are the little cousins.... arent they nuggets? Jamison and Shelby.

Auntie En made me a tactile blanket for tummy time.
Here are my high school friends. They all had boys first (except Melissa, who will probobly have a boy first too someday.) I love seeing them and catching up, they make me laugh like no other. We have a long history together. They are all amazing women and mothers.
There are more pics in our online album if you want to check it out. Thank you for my shower! I felt so loved and celebrated. Its an amazing feeling to know that our family and friends are so excited about our little boy...less than two weeks to go!

My Bub.

My husband Mark works hard and LOVES his well deserved free time; he loves to surf, go on runs, read the paper, walk around cdm, hang out with the fellas, and watch movies. For the past couple of months, Mark has spent most of that free time sanding, painting, fixing, moving, arranging and rearranging, and focusing on all kinds of projects around the house. I know that Mark enjoys the end product of a nice home, but I also know he doesn't care about it even 1/1000th as much as I do. My bub has been doing all of this for me, so that I can enjoy the house when the baby comes. I feel so loved by him. Everyday he tries to express his love to me in the way he knows I need it. Its a tough job as lately my needs are changing daily...they are so different than nine months ago. The incredible thing about my husband is that he knows me and studies me; and his way of expressing love has changed with my needs. Im a lucky girl.

Jessica's Wedding

The score is now even. 3 Girls and 3 boys in the Burton family, we NEVER thought that would happen. Kevin Hall is officially one of the family now, and my big sis is finally married! The day was absolutely wonderful. We had been praying for no rain for weeks, because my sister wanted to get married in this beautiful garden that she fell in love with at the Muckenthaler mansion (even though it was February). As we rehearsed on Saturday in that beautiful garden, and I prayed fervernently knowing rain was in the forecast, God said to me "I have known the day that Jessica would get married forever, just trust me. If it is supposed to rain, it is the way I want it to be." And it did rain, no STORM, the morning of her wedding. But it was exactly the way it was supposed to be. Everyone crowded in this beautiful room with a fireplace, and the room was romantic and very intimate...you could literally feel the emotion in the air. My sister was radiant, everything was very classy and vintage. My dad and all of us aggree that Jess and Kevin are a perfect match. Both dreamers, both soft hearted, both of them go with the flow. Jessica LOVES that Kevin plays an instrument, rides a motorcycle and even has a group of guys that play in a band together. Jess is so happy to finally be Mrs. Hall (she even has a sweatsuit with her new name on it)! These two little ones were the hit of the wedding....so edible. They were best friends by the end of the weekend. More pics on our picasa online album if you want to check it out.
