Scooter love.
Our neighborhood kids have a little scooter gang. Some are older, and some are just little guys, but they all love being outside together and scooting back and forth on our sidewalk. Owen rode beside the scooters on his little smart car, until this week, when he got his new razor scooter (with orange wheels). Even though he thinks the scooter is beyond awesome, my little man is not the kind to like to try new things, he hates not being good at something... so like any good parent would do (wink, wink), we hid his smart car for a day or two, hoping to push him to try the scooter. It took a day or two, and a teenage girl across the street on her scooter to encourage him...and now he loves it.
Owen and his next door buddy... he has formed some great new friends in our neighborhood, who he wants to play with at all waking hours. I love it.
This week marks the official end of summer and start of fall... we went from 95 degree days to 75 literally overnight, there is a chill in the air, and the sun looks different as it falls and casts its shadows. It really feels like change is in the air. This week my little man is off to school, he is so ready. I am ready too... ready for him to learn, make new friends, and hoping he will fall in love with school like I did. But the days of just us everyday are quickly coming to an end, and I cant help but feel a little sad. He is really growing up... fast.

3: missing you guys so much. so many times we think of you and would have called you and mark to meet for more picnic dinners... but that's a long drive from denver to balboa. ::(
